ESTATE

About

“Mirrorland” is the second full-length album of Estate. It is powerful, attractive, mystical epic progressive power metal.

This album is a huge step up for the band. It is heavier and more progressive, but by no means Estate has lost their calling card – the lyrical and romantic melodism.

“Mirrorland”s very diverse but the songs keep the same vibe and are filled with obscure and mysterious atmosphere.

The album has such strong tunes as “Mirrorland”, “Lady Wind”, “The Ghoul” and a dark medium tempo horror story “Springtime”, plus traditional power metal ballads like “Winter Kingdom” and “Silvery Skies”.  There is a special three-act opus that is called “Storm of the Age”. It was written under the influence of works of an American writer, Glen Cook, a founder of the dark fantasy genre.

The recordings began in August 2015 and lasted till May 2017 at the band’s own studio. Mixing and mastering is done by band’s guitarist Peter Filevsky.

Guest musicians include Mats Leven (Therion, Treat, and Candlemass) and Mark Boals (Y.Malmsteen, Royal Hunt,  and Ring of Fire)

Fawn Reginald, a well-known creature from the magic world, is again there on the cover. And Leo Hao, who drew the cover art for such bands as BLIND GUARDIAN, ICED EARTH, PRIMAL FEAR and other renowned musicians, is again the author of the artwork.

In early January 2018 ESTATE released «Winter Kingdom» is the first video single from the album «Mirrorland» which will be released worldwide through Mighty Music on the 20th of April 2018 on Cd and digital.

Most of the members have now formed a new band called Angel Heart and they are now ready to release their debut “Angel Heart” on Mighty Music 18th of May.

Three of us used to play in the metal band Highland Glory, who released 3 albums worldwide. Our musical roots belong in the 80`s hard rock / heavy metal, where bands like Dio, Dokken, Queensryche and Judas Priest ruled the scene. We are very happy that Mighty Music believes in us, and are really looking forward to be working with them”. Lars André Rørvik Larsen

Monster (2018)
Higher Than The Sun (2016)

Bio

Sandberg has always had an extreme interest in music, especially in the metal-genre.

After several years of psychological strain and battles between dark thoughts, his life and own world collapsed in 2013. Sandberg eventually started writing down his darkets thoughts and feelings, as a part of his therapy which resulted in the first album “Higher Than The Sun” released in 2016.

It was an album where vocalist Kim Sandberg opens his heart and tells his personal story about a challenging period of time, which were filled with thoughts of darkness. This album was produced as a part of his own therapy.

And now in 2018 they are ready to release their second album “Monster”. An album containing 8 hard rocking tracks. All of them with a modern touch and feeling to the sound. It’s a dark album, with heavy riffs and with great choruses, sung by the raw and powerful voice of Kim Sandberg.

DESDEMONIA

About

Take old school death metal, add a healthy dose of groove, a pinch of thrash and round it up with a lot of melody…and you’ll get the powerful essence of Desdemonia: Melodic Death Thrash Metal

After years of efforts and experiences, Desdemonia’s fourth longplayer “Anguish” is set to be released in March 2018 via Mighty Music.

On their new record, the quartet yet again combine catchiness with raw, vicious riffage and grim weighty vocals, while more quiet and melodic moments give their music the right dynamics. The aggressive and gloomy atmosphere is being underlined by lyrics that explore the fears and dark thoughts of the human mind. This contemporary issue being universal, all four band members shared their thoughts and contributed to the lyrics.

Iron Angel

ABOUT

After leaving their previous band METAL GODS (the name was an obvious tribute to Judas Priest), drummer Mike Matthes and bassist Thorsten Lohmann formed a new band together with guitarists Peter Wittke and Sven Strüven in 1983. All of them were friends and even former schoolmates before the band´s formation. Soon after, the band was auditioning singers and their mutual friend Dirk Schröder was also present, although just to hang out. Because none of these singers was fitting into their idea of how the band should sound like, somebody suggested Dirk to give it a try and to everyone´s suprise he blew all his predecessors out of the water. That was the magic moment, in which IRON ANGEL was born.

While the band began to make a name for themselves in the Hamburg City area, one of their demos made it´s way to the office of the newly found label SPV /Steamhammer in late 1984, culminating in the signing of the band and the release of their debutalbum “HELLISH CROSSFIRE”, which became a blueprint for german speed-metal ever since. The following year, the band toured as opening act for King Diamond, right before releasing their second Album “WINDS OF WAR”, which was slightly different in style copared to it´s predecessor. Though more mature and melodic, the lack of fast songs and sinister atmosphere, that were on dispay on the debut album, was quiet noticeable. The reason for that was the bands own debate about their musical direction: One half wanted to become more apealling to the masses, especially to the american market, while the other ones wanted to keep their own way of playing speed-metal. Tensions grew bigger and bigger until in mid 1986, IRON ANGEL decided to call it quits. Peter joined the Thrash-Metal outfit Roots, while Dirk and Mike later joined J.R. Blackmore´s group Superstition.

At the end of the 90s Peter got in touch with Dirk and Mike again, asking them to come along and jam a little. After a couple of sessions they decided to revive IRON ANGEL. In 2000 they intended to enter the studio to record new material, but before that happened, Peter died in a tragic car accident. The recordings were cancelled and the band remained inactive for the next 4 years. In 2004 Dirk and Mike tried to recruit new members for the band and began working on new material, but even 3 years after, they couldn´t find any new suitable members, so they decided to call it quits again. As a sort of parting gift, they presented the EP “BACK FROM HELL”, which was composed of potential material for what was intended to be their comeback album from the early 2000s. A couple of month after the split Sven Strüven died after overdosing on heroin.

It seemed like IRON ANGEL were dead and gone until that one day, when Didy Mackel (ex-Mania, ex-Not fragile) contacted his buddy from back in the day Dirk Schröder via Facebook, that he just witnessed a lot of people wearing IRON ANGEL shirts during a festival. While chatting, the idea of a reunion came to mind. Dirk wrote Mike about it and Didy brought in the two guitarists Jojo Folta and Mitsch Meyer. Everyone met for the first time in September 2014 and the following month it became official: IRON ANGEL were back.

Word got around pretty fast and the band received offers from promoters and festivals all over the world, but before the band played their first show since the 80s, Mike announced his departure in March 2015, since the touring would interfere too much with his everyday work. After considering Mark Cross as a new drummer first, the band ended up recruiting Alexander “Schrotti” Kokatt as Mike´s successor in April of that year. The line-up that played the first live shows since the 1980s was now complete and together they managed to go on tour through south america and beyond. The following year Jojo Folta left IRON ANGEL and was replaced by Robert Altenbach.

2017 was the year the band finally recorded a new studio album.  Already back in April 2015 the band wrote the first couple of songs for it and right from the get-go it was set to go back to the band´s speed metal roots. Since Schrotti didn´t commit himself enough to the band anymore, IRON ANGEL decided to look for a new drummer and brought in Maximilian Behr in April. Between June and August 2017 they headed off to Rosenquarz Studios in Lübeck to record their highly anticipated next studio album and in late 2017 the band joined forces with scandinavia´s biggest metal record label Mighty Music. On 4th of May 2018 Iron Angel released their first studio album in 32 years, entitled “HELLBOUND”, and toured throughout Europe, North- and South America, as well as Japan, being the headlining band for most of these shows.

Near the end of that cycle, the band had to undergo yet another change of members with Nino Helfrich replacing Mitsch Meyer. The new incarnation wasted no time and created what would become their fourth album “EMERALD EYES”. Recordings took place between October and December 2019 at DaDaSound Studios near Hamburg and the album is set for release in August of 2020.

David Reece (ex-Accept)

I was searching for a record company that would see my vision as a solo artist so I reached out to Mike Tramp and he suggested I speak with Michael H. Andersen at Mighty Music. Michael teamed me up with the Danish producer and song writing team Marco Angioni and Martin Jepsen Andersen, both from the band Meridian. The collaboration we’re working on is exactly where I want to go musically – and Michael H. Andersen and Mighty Music have given me a home to release my new record and given me 100% support and belief in this new record! The album will be recorded at Death Island Studio in Denmark with Marco Angioni as producer, and is expected to be released in late 2018. Touring for the album will follow” David Reece, January 2018

I know David Reece is so much more, but the “Eat The Heat” record is one of those albums from the late 80s I still play a lot. Listening to that album on my walkman made life a lot easier being a teenager in suburbia, Denmark in the late 80s. Having said that, it is amazing to witness how much on fire David still is today. His vocal skills are still in another league and this man definitely has the energy to make a great new album. Proud to be welcoming you to my home, David” Michael H. Andersen, Mighty Music

Heavy metal vocalist, songwriter and former Accept/Bonfire frontman, David Reece, will be releasing his long awaited new solo album “Resilient Heart” worldwide through Mighty Music in November 2018.

“Resilient Heart” an album rich on full blown melodic heavy metal, will be the follow up album from his latest solo album “Compromise” released in 2013.

“Resilient Heart” is the perfect album for all fans of heavy metal. It’s a wide album containing all of the greatest elements within heavy rock and melodic metal. Yet with a modern production.

The first single of the album “Anytime At All” is a wonderful heavy rocker with a touch of Coverdale and Whitesnake inspiration. A song with a powerfull riff, and a strong verse leading up to a bombastic sing-a-long chorus, where a song like”Perfect Apocalypse” stands out with it’s progressive Pretty Maids inspirered elements.

On “Resilient Heart” David Reece has teamed up with the Danish musicians Marco Angioni (guitar), Martin J. Andersen (guitar), Malte Frederik Burkert (bass) and Sigurd J. Jensen (drums).

“Resilient Heart” comes with two different tracklist. One for CD/digital and one for the ltd. 500 blood red vinyl edition.

23 Acez

About

23 Acez was founded by Benny Willaert (“Zors”) in 2010. He started writing songs and hooked up with Pete Mush and altogether they recorded 12 songs which became the album “Crossroads”. To keep it simple, Zors played (almost) all guitars, including the bass. For extra lead guitars he asked Tom Tas and Dario Frodo to add some extra sauce. These guys are extremely talented and especially very enthusiastic. The intention was to keep it raw and pure, not too many rehearsals, not overdoing it, not overthinking it… just plain Rock’N’Roll!

After a while it became clear there was some demand for live performances. In came Jonathan Braeckman on the drums and Tom Mundez on the bass. Tom Tas, who was already on the first album, agreed to join the live band.

Material for a new album was pre-produced in a year time. After that it took a couple of months to record the songs in a proper way. Pete Mush, who produced the first album, was a very important factor in this process. The result is “Redemption Waves”. Lyrically the theme of the album is about the search for solving problems on an emotional and personal level, without being too much of a “Dr. Phil”. We believe that good lyrics are a sequence of words which anyone can relate to. They can be mysterious without being too obvious. Musically we love it when a song sticks to your ears with the necessary hooks and “earworms”. That’s why melody is a key ingredient to 23 Acez’ music.

Basically 23 Acez is a bunch of friends who love playing music. In the past all members have been involved in different projects in different styles. Nowadays they play where their hearts are at… riff oriented melodic rock – songs that grab you by the throat and kick you in the groin!! Take a listen and get on the wave…

“Redemption Waves” will be released on January 12th 2015 via Mighty Music

9000 John Doe

About

9000 John Doe – a rock ‘n’ metal band from Aalborg in Denmark – have with the self-proclaimed music style ‘Hillbilly Hardcore’ ravaged the Danish metal scene in some years now. In 2011 they released the debut album with the expressive title “Roll With It Or Get Rolled Over” and now they are ready with the follow-up “Redneck Is The New Black”.

9000 JOHN DOE is very much a live band that has thrilled audiences and critics since they started in 2008. The strength of the band is the self-confident attitude on stage and the energetic live shows. It was these abilities that got the band nominated as “Metal Live Band Of The Year” back in 2009 and top-marks from the Danish webzines for their performances on festivals like Aalborg Metal Festival and Day Of Decay.

9000 John Doe knows only one road – down the Route 666 – the reckless rock attitude and the heavy sound of their rock ‘n’ metal universe will leave its mark at every show. The mission is to highlight northern Jutland as rock ‘n’ metal capital of Denmark and awaken the inner redneck of the listener. Who the fuck is 9000 John Doe? As the name implies is a local band from Aalborg consisting of pure rednecks with their roots deep buried in old school rock ‘n’ roll and modern melodic metal. The band consist of Tommy Knøs with his spitting acid vocal, Morten Højer on vicious guitar, Mikkel Clausen on deadly bass while Morten Larsen leads the rhythmic assault on drums. The musical signature is piercing guitar-riffs, hard-hitting bass and fearsome ”in your face” vocals  – all kept alive by the thunderous power of the drums. The bands mix of old school rock ’n’ roll and metal appeals to fans of Guns ’n’ Roses ranging to Pantera and beyond! ”Redneck Is The New Black” states a darker and more metallic side of the band – however still keeping the well-known rock & roll attitude and a strictly trucker rockin’ hard-hitting hillbillies attitude with denim and insignias as an expression. The album is guested by the popular Danish rapper Jonny Hefty, who with his metal background (Geronimo) is a good match for 9000 John Doe. Together they deliver a cheeky bout of heavy-rap that doesn’t make a secret out of the Aalborg-roots. Just like the debut album, it was recorded, mixed and mastered by Rasmus Jakobsen (ex-Mercenary) in Unit1 Studios.

A Horrible Death To A Horrible Man

About

A Horrible Death To A Horrible Man is a new sinister noise rock quartet that mixes noisy and heavy riffs, along with a personal text universe delivered with a mesmerizing vocals.

The band consists of four old friends, assembled by the ashes of defunct, Copenhagen underground bands, with a desire to take their respective musical ambitions and put them together in a band and in a genre that until now have been under-represented in the Danish music environment – namely heavy and uncompromising noise rock.

The motivation was a desire to write heavy and dark songs, a mood that everyone in the band could relate to. They worked hard in rehearsal, writing songs meant to draw people into their universe and get their chances challenged.

The band managed to get Tore Nissen (Oh Land) and Manoj Ramdas (The Raveonettes, Black Sun, The Good The Bad, SPEKTR) as producers, who both was immediately sucked into the bands gloomy universe.

This cooperation led the music out in some experimental corners, but without departing from the goal as the band had set itself from the outset. The atmosphere is dark and gloomy, the music is heavy ” and the lyrical universe is very personal, based on own life events. A genre the band themselves have labeled as Post-Traumatic Rock.

Mini-album “Escape Escape” is released March 23, 2015 via Target / Mighty Music and this underlines the bands ambitions to prove that Denmark can be much more than fine-polished pop.

The first single “A Sudden Violent Displeasure” was released in early December, via a music video written and directed by artist duo SIGNA, who was the artists behind the controversial shock-play VILLA Salo in 2010. This is their first music video for a song chosen by SIGNA itself

“Escape Escape” will be released on March 30th 2015 via Mighty Music.
