About

For almost a half decade, Mike Tramp has been on a worldwide journey, touring and living as a modern life nomad, in his quest for personal and artistic freedom and staying true to the idea of the rock n roll troubadour.

Michael Trempenau was born in Denmark, and grew up in Vesterbro with his mother and two brothers, Dennis and Kim. Mike started his musical career singing in a youth group club in Copenhagen called Vesterbro Ungdomsgård, and appears on their first album: Vi lever på Vesterbro (1974). Later, he joined the pop band Mabel, as the lead singer. They recorded four albums and were very popular in Denmark and Spain, with Mike receiving “teen idol” status. In 1978 Mabel won the Danish Song Contest with the song Boom Boom and represented Denmark in the Eurovision Song Contest that year. Mabel moved to New York City and became the Studs in the late 1970s, but then soon broke up.

After the demise of Mabel, Tramp met Vito Bratta and formed White Lion in 1983, the band became very successful in the mid 80’s to early 90’s. White Lion released their debut album Fight to Survive in 1985. The band achieved success with their #8 hit “Wait” and #3 hit “When the Children Cry” from their second album, the double platinum selling Pride. The band continued their success with their third album, Big Game which achieved Gold status and their fourth album Mane Attraction which included a supporting tour. White Lion disbanded in 1992 and not long after their first compilation album The Best of White Lion was released. Later Mike went on to form Freak Of Nature which he released two successful bands with. Shortly after he focused fully on his solo carrier. “Museum” is Mike’s 8th soloalbum since “Capricorn” from 1998.

“This & That (But A Whole Lot More)” is the brand new box set from Mike Tramp, that is being released on the 1st of December in a limited edition of 1000 copies worldwide. The box set contains 5 CDs and 1 DVD with previously unreleased material from Tramps long career, but with brand new stuff as well.

For “This & That (But A Whole Lot More)” Tramp & Band Of Brothers have created this real rock ‘n’ roll banger “Work It All Out”, that comes with a really great “behind the scenes” video:

Mike Tramp himself says this about the box set:
“In the 21st century where the music business have become something like an old fashion garage sale and your loyal fans have become someone you address by first name and have a coffee with. It is with great pleasure that I give back to those who have stood by my side for so long and shared this journey with me, and now give them the key to my own personal vault of songs and projects I have done over the past 30 years. This Box set is from Mike Tramp to his fans”.

The box set will be sold exclusively at shop.targetgroup.dk
