The KillerHertz is a Danish Hard rock band from a small town outside Copenhagen called Kastrup. The band was formed in early 2011 and consists of childhood friends Thomas Trold Pedersen (vocalist/guitarist), Kent Rasmussen (drums), Rune Gregersen (bassist) and Tais Pedersen (lead guitarist). They all have a background from other bands such as Pitchblack, Gothic Domain, JFK, Saturnus, The Awakening and Usipian, and have made a significant impact on the Danish rock scene in the Copenhagen underground. The music style can be defined as hard rock with roots in melodious rock, which delivers musical guitar harmonies and tight beats. together with their main musical inspiration from the 80´s and 90´s heavy metal scene combined with a modern rock approach. Bands like Metallica and Megadeth has been a big inspiration and with a touch from the danish rock scene, such as Volbeat and Dizzy Mizz Lizzy. In 2012 the band recorded their first full-length studio album entitled A Killer Anthem, it was recorded at Earplug Studio and later mixed and mastered by legendary producer Flemming Rasmussen. which is known for his work with Metallica, and gave the sound The KillerHertz was searching for. A sound that brings the audience back to the crowned days from the 90´s. A more forceful product with a good width of numbers, that both separates the musical and literary from each other. The songwriting and the literary in the music pledges to life and in all its forms. The songs is about the songwriters personal experience in life and what he have been through the last years as a person. Its about personal crises, such as lost love, which he expresses in numbers like Shattered, Redeem me and Shine a light. A family member who lost her life to cancer in the number Swansong and to the ‘seize the day’ songs in A killer anthem and Rebelheart. The dream of being a rock star someday, and the difficulty with all the daily tasks and the kids going to school as he expresses in the number Youth Inc. Songs and music, that most of the audience can relate too. The album has received a great response and a lot of fine reviews from fans and has certainly earned a spot in the Copenhagen rock-scene. A Killer Anthem is set to released in the middle of 2014 and The KillerHertz are already writing new material for their next album.
