Conny Bloom

“So here we are finally! I am now working with Target Group from Denmark for my solo stuff. They did a great job on the last Electric Boys album so coming up next is the release of my new album Game! Set! Bloom!!”

He’s got an unmistakable and natural rock star swagger, yet at the same time is a salt of the earth kind of guy. That’s Conny Bloom, one of the most charismatic frontmen in Swedish rock music.

As a teenager Bloom, born as Ulf Conny Blomqvist in Stockholm 1964, learned his trade in bands such as Road Rats and Neon Rose but found success and fame in the early 90s as the center of attention in influential – and still active – groove rock combo Electric Boys. However, as a solo artist he’s doing something completely different.

On his two latest albums, he’s singing in Swedish. Musically and lyrically you could put him in the tradition of, say, Pugh Rogefeldt and Stefan Sundström, storytelling folk rock with traces of psychedelia, funk and 60s pop.

As a songwriter, Conny Bloom moves between seriousness and humor. He has a unique way with words, says he sings the way he talks and there’s no reason to doubt him since that swagger of his means he always walk the talk.

Mighty Music more than happy to announce that the new guns on the technical melodic death metal scene CHRONICLE has signed a record deal with Mighty Music.

We are blown away by the bands technicalities in such a young age and can’t wait to release an album that is sure to kick some ass! For all fans of early Dark Tranquillity, early Children Of Bodom & The Black Dahlia Murder.

The band says:
“We signed a record deal!!!
It is with tremendous amounts of pleasure that we are finally able to unveil, that we have joined forces with the people of Mighty Music /Target Group, for the release of our next album!

We’ve always strived towards a high level of technicality and musicianship in the music we write, and “Demonology” represents to us a big step into a heavier and more extreme direction, while maintaining our brand of catchy Melodic Death Metal. We can’t wait to share more info with you all in the coming months!”

The new album will be released in March of 2020 and will be entitled “Demonology”.
Produced, Mixed and Mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios and with artwork by the great Pär Olofsson.

“Chronicle is a young band who took me completely by surprise. Very complex energetic deaththrash of sorts. Amazing players and really good songs.” – Tue Madsen.

Syztem7 is a genre-blending rock band from Seattle, Washington. Decidedly different, but hauntingly familiar, Syztem7 writes songs that could be the soundtrack for a dark future just over the horizon. Described as a “unique fusion of industrial, metal and experimental” by the Exotic Underground, the band has created a sonic signature all their own.

Syztem7 have finely honed their craft in front of cheering audiences far and wide, playing with Zakk Wylde, The Genitorturers, One-Eyed Doll, Thrill Kill Kult, Lords of Acid, King’s X, members of Armored Saint and Ronnie James Dio’s band, The Dreaming, and many others. “We pull from such varied musical backgrounds,” says bassist Nathan Raynes , “that it makes us easily accessible to fans of grunge, punk, metal, funk and alt rock.” Guitarist Jaymz Kennedy is fond of quoting one particular review of their shows, “They described us as a unique blend that could be the love child of White Zombie and Faith No More, with Rammstein for a mistress.”

While Syztem7 has accomplished an amazing amount in the years that they’ve been together, it seems the best is yet to come. Their packed show schedule, burgeoning online following, unique sound and exciting new material all point to only one direction: straight up.

Having just played with Rob Zombie & Marilyn Manson the band is getting ready to release their brand new album “Evolving” to be released on November 29th 2019.

Wayward Dawn

Hailing from the soil of Skanderborg, Denmark, Wayward Dawn plays intense and relentless death metal. The band drags the listener into a cavernous world of vicious nihilism and monstrous soundscapes with thundering double bass pedals, pulverizing basslines, and downtuned guitars played through classic Marshall amps. With inspiration from both old school and modern death metal, Wayward Dawn delivers a combination of ferocious tremolo-picking and blastbeats, slow and crushingly heavy passages, and epic choruses. Venomous words of human and societal decay complete the picture with savage roars, abysmal growls and rotten screams.

Since its formation in October 2015, Wayward Dawn has, among other things, played at Aalborg Metal Festival, SPOT Festival and supported bands like Nailed to Obscurity (DE), Jinjer (UA), BAEST (DK) and Red Warszawa (DK). With mentions in prominent magazines such as Metal Hammer and GAFFA, the band is known for its hyper-energetic live shows with constant use of the windmill headbanging technique and manic interaction with the audience.

Wayward Dawn released their critically acclaimed debut album “Soil Organic Matter” on August 31 st 2018. The album was recorded and produced by Jacob Bredahl in Dead Rat Studio and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Obituary, Nails, Full of Hell).

Haven Of Lies, 2020

If you are into “in your face” classic melodic hard rock with elements of Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, Whitesnake, Dio and Deep Purple; then Stargazer is a band for you.
Stargazer’s first album received great reviews from the hard rock-based media all over Europe back in 2010. Now, 9 years on, Stargazer is back with their second album entitled “The Sky is the Limit”. After years of struggle on the tiny hard rock scene of Norway playing festivals and support for bands like Jorn, Stage Dolls, DAD, Gary Moore, Nazareth and more, Stargazer are now ready to take on the world.
The line-up consists of founding members William Ernstsen on guitars and Tore André Helgemo on vocals. New members are drummer BP Hovik (Peer Gynt, Ronni Le Tekrø+Terje Rypdal) and last but not least, on bass Erik Svendgard. Erik has played with JORN, Mickey Moody of Whitesnake, Kee Marcello of Europe, Torstein Flakne of Stage Dolls and a lot more.

On the recordings for this album you will listen to the bassplaying of Morten “Morty Black” Skaget (TNT), and drums by Morten Skogstad (Stage Dolls). Morty Black also played on their debut album, whereas Skogstad is in with Stargazer for the first time. A fun fact is that the only time this rhythm section has played together on record before this album, is on TNT’s classic album “Intuition” (1989)!

To mix and master their new album Stargazer has joined forces with star producer and guitarist Søren Andersen (Glenn Hughes) at Medley Studios, Copenhagen. The result is a modern production with a vintage twist.

With a worldwide release provided by Mighty Music at hand, Stargazer sets out to be a beacon on the hard rock scene. A bright shining star emerging with energy and power, capacity and skills, and a lyrical universe that both explores and recognizes the heart of darkness in humanity, yet fighting with passion always to light up a light in the gloom of nothingness. With Stargazer, you can hear and see evidence of the will to keep on keeping on.

This time around, Stargazer has reinvented itself and is now looking for venues and adventures outside of the Norwegian borders.
So, to conclude for the direction Stargazer is heading, you should just take a look at the album title and title track off their first single: The Sky is the Limit!

Anoxia – To The Lions

Anoxia – “To The Lions” to be released on October 4th 2019

1. Origin Of Pain
2. Scaffold
3. To The Lions
4. These Chains
5. Rule The Storm
6. Slavery
7. The Devils Share
8. Bite The Darkness
9. In Eternity

AnoxiA is back with their sophomore full length effort “TO THE LIONS”. AnoxiA has spent the time since the release of their previous full-length, the critically acclaimed “A Lapdance For The Devil”, partially on the road and partially in rehearsal and the studio, crafting the 9 songs that would eventually become “TO THE LIONS”. The musical direction on “TO THE LIONS” is old school heavy metal – melodic, yet hardhitting and thrashy at times. At times even a modern twist sneaks in. The songs are carved around strong riffing a wide array of vocal variation, supporting the musical landscapes.

“TO THE LIONS” is in the natural vein of AnoxiAs previous works, not deviating too much from the recognizable AnoxiA-formula of heavy metal. However, this time AnoxiA decided on a more direct and clear edge to the sound, allowing the songs to speak more for themselves. The musical direction bears references to the likes of Iron Maiden, Slayer, In Flames, and a lot of classic hard rock and 80s thrash.

Guitarist Claus S. Nielsen states: “This time our approach to the writing process was to create aggressive and raw, yet melodic and memorable heavy metal songs that first hit you between the eyes and then stick in your ears! That has indeed been a pleasant journey, however with many a fun detour along the way. ”

Vocalist and guitarist Lars Frederiksen elaborate: “We wanted to keep intact the AnoxiA trademark, but at the same time also to renew or refine our sound. By teaming up with our longtime friends, Ole W. Bertelsen (producing, recording, mixing)) and Simon Joergensen (drum recording) we gained a more direct and dynamic sound than the previous album. Adding Jacob Hansen at Hansen Studios, who in fact did some of our first demos in 2000, for mastering the album, gave the new album the last boost and we’re very satisfied with the sound.”

AnoxiA is a well-established act on the Danish underground live metal scene, their longevity dating back 20+ years. Hell bent on having fun during performance, AnoxiA approaches any gig fully charged, sincerely convinced that in order for the audience to enjoy, the band must enjoy.

Four guys from Copenhagen with very diverse backgrounds – two guys come from the rockabilly scene, one guy from classic heavy metal, and one guy from hard rock. Imagine a mix of Social Distortion, Motörhead, and Stray Cats supercharged with adrenaline and testosterone, and then you get GRUMPYNATORS.

A hard-working Danish act, who already has played a lot of concerts everywhere in Europe from Northern Norway and Northern Finland to Germany, Holland, Austria, and Switzerland. They have supported Danish heroes Magtens Korridorer and have also been the only Danish act to support Volbeat, on a tour in the last ten years. In 2020 they release their 3rd album, “Still Alive”, in collaboration with Mighty Music, with the pure intention of taking over the rest of the world.

On the third album from Grumpynators, the playful mix of genres is even more evident than before. Although there is an unmistakable motorbilly sound throughout the ten tracks on the album, one can recognize everything from country inspiration over punk to tightly executed heavy-rock. A pervasive trend on this album is a constant high energy level. It’s rock, cut to the bone with an adrenaline-pumping party vibe. “Still Alive” aims to pay tribute to the good times, the party until sunrise and everything else about rock’n’roll, that make life worth living.

A longtime friend of the band, Michael Poulsen (Volbeat) comments: “I’ve heard the record a few times now and I think “Still Alive” is Grumpynator’s absolute strongest album so far. Very good production. My favourite song among the record’s 10 tracks is “Dream Girl

The album was recorded in Medley Studio with Søren Andersen as producer and technician. Søren was a conscious choice as Grumpynators believed that the hardrock-sound Søren produced suited them well. In addition, it was important for the first time to make a record with the same technician and producer from recording all tracks to the master. “Søren has managed to capture our live sound and the essence of Grumpynators at a level that exceeded our own expectations“, says guitarist Christian Nørgaard. “The high-end production combined with us being far more selective this time as only 10 out of 20 potential songs passed the bar, makes me say that this album is our strongest release to date“, he continues.

“Still Alive” will be released by Mighty Music as a CD, digital, and in three different vinyl formats (black, orange cloud and red/blue) on August 28th. A limited edition Grumpynators mask is available at www.targetshop.dk/grumpynators

Transport League

It doubtlessly takes a lot of mental strength to stay on your chosen path, despite all the imponderables that the music industry entails. Transport League from Sweden are a prime example of determination and perseverance. As the critics’ faves, they have been praised to the skies, as a down-to-earth band they’ve always remained in tune with the times and close to their fans, while their rhythmic, powerful and stylistically diverse heavy metal has left an impressive mark on the international hard’n’heavy scene. Transport League are set to launch another artistic landmark, when the band are scheduled to release their new album A MLIION VOLT SCREAM thru MIGHTY MUSIC before going on to present their latest material live on stage with their familiar merciless energy. That’s when everybody will understand why the media like to refer to the group’s style by the album title of its 2014 release: BOOGIE FROM HELL!

Said boogie is also present on A MILLION VOLT SCREAM, albeit not exclusively so. Transport League appear to have opened Pandora’s metal box with intent and are now busy blazing their trail through all those strong ideas that they have unleashed. “Of course there’s boogie again, but also doom and hardcore, fast songs and hard riffs,” vocalist/guitarist Tony Jelencovich describes the new album. “Our sound may have changed a few times, but not the band’s raw power and our penchant for strong grooves.” The three longstanding band members Tony Jelencovich, Peter Hunyadi (guitar) and Mattias Starander (drums) recorded the album together with Transport League’s new bassist Dennis Österdal who has joined the fold to replace Lars Häglund, the latter having had to leave the group due to health problems.

Jelencovich is referring to rigorous numbers such as ´Monster Human`, set to be supported by a video clip, which has him state: “Leben , Sterben”.´Dawn of Lucifer` is no less uncompromising, Transport League by all appearances having been inspired by acts such as Black Sabbath and certainly doing the term ‘doom metal’ credit.

Talking of inspiration: “A MILLION VOLT SCREAM is a return to our own roots and mixes them with influences that had already surfaced on our two previous releases BOOGIE FROM HELL and TWIST AND SHOUT AT THE DEVIL,” Jelencovich summarises the basic direction of the new material.

A MILLION VOLT SCREAM was produced at Oral Majority Recordings and at the Top Floor studios under the direction of Roberto Laghi (In Flames, Entombed AD, Raised Fist, Sonic Syndicate, Mustasch, Hardcore Superstar etc), who also mixed the album.
About twenty years after the arrival of their debut STALLION SHOWCASE, Transport League are ready to present A MILLION VOLT SCREAM – not only their eight album to date but further evidence of their inexhaustible creative power.
